About the Project

DIMEGRA is an educational and cultural initiative designed to strengthen the Bulgarian community in Albania by enhancing digital media literacy, promoting critical thinking, and fostering connection with Bulgarian language, culture, and heritage.
The project targets young people in Durrës and Gora (Kukës), equipping them with practical skills to identify misinformation, navigate the digital world responsibly, and engage confidently with their cultural identity.

This initiative is funded with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, under the Program for Supporting Bulgarian Communities, Organizations and Media Abroad – 2025.

Our Mission

To build a resilient, informed, and culturally connected community by providing young Bulgarians with high-quality media education, bilingual digital tools, and interactive cultural learning experiences.

Key Objectives

Strengthen Media Literacy Skills


Train at least 40 young participants (ages 15–30) to recognize misinformation, verify facts, and apply critical thinking in the digital sphere.

Launch a Bilingual Digital Platform

Develop and maintain a Bulgarian–Albanian online platform featuring educational resources, video lessons, cultural materials, and fact-checking tools.

Promote Bulgarian Cultural Heritage

Organize two interactive cultural & media workshops to deepen cultural awareness and create meaningful connections within the community.

Online Platform Development

A modern, user-friendly digital platform providing:

  • Media literacy resources

  • Video exercises

  • Articles and fact-check guides

  • Cultural learning materials

  • Interactive tests

Media Literacy & Cultural Workshops

Two in-person workshops (Durrës & Gora) combining theory, practical exercises, case studies, and cultural sessions.

Visibility & Outreach Campaign

A structured communication plan using social media, local media, community networks, and visual content to reach at least 3,000 people online.
